Peter Ramsay

Peter N. Ramsay, a native of Tucson, Arizona has held numerous coaching positions through out his teaching career.  Ramsay was ranked in the top 3 in the Southwest section from age 10 to 18 and nationally ranked since age 11.  Ramsay moved on to play collegiate tennis as the No. 1 doubles and Top 6 singles player for the University Of Arizona.  Ramsay has also played in ATA money tournaments, men’s open doubles tournaments and open A TCD doubles leagues as well.

Ramsay’s coaching career of 24 years began after college which included stints in Florida, Arizona and Texas.  Peter has proven success with private coaching as he has coached and managed several highly nationally ranked players.  In addition, he believes in team and group instruction where he has coached numerous successful TCD, USTA teams and ran Pro-Am tournaments.  Peter currently coaches  three TCD teams and a Metro team.  He also enjoys running junior programs including home school programs, both which are current successful programs available at the club.

Ramsay has coached at Chandlers Landing for over four years and has served as Director of the Tennis program since November 2010.   He enjoys and has represented Rockwall tennis and the USTA in our community for over nine years including holding several school assemblies.  He and his wife Linda, reside in Chandllers Landing where they manage the Pro shop and together participate in making CL Tennis a fun but educational club to join and play with family and friends in a competitive worthwhile tennis environment.

Carlos Correia

In order to meet the expanding needs of Chandlers Tennis and to further enrich our program CLT is very excited to announce the addition of another teaching pro, Carlos Correia.  Carlos has been a  staple in the Rockwall tennis community for several years.  Most recently he has been responsible for running the RISD’s public tennis program and before that he ran Rockwall Tennis Unlimited’s program.

Carlos officially starts teaching at Chandlers , Tuesday, May 7, 2013.  He will teach a 4.0 clinic from 7pm-9pm on Tuesdays on court 1.  It is a RSVP clinic and he will take the first 12 players.  He also teaches private lesson and will run some ladies teams.
