Court Maintenance Policy

Chandlers Landing Tennis deploys court maintenance daily to ensure the best possible playing experience for our members, weather permitting.  The services below are what can be expected and have been updated due to our recent snow and ice event.

Playability:

Playability including temperature and court conditions for lessons, drills, mixers and tournaments will be at the sole discretion of the head pro or teaching pro.  Members have the freedom to decide if the courts and temperatures are safe for their own personal use and personal matches.

Court Maintenance:

Courts will be maintained daily which includes clearing loose debris and leaves using a leaf blower, trash service and water jug contents replacement (ice and water).  Dry and above 40 degree wind chill continues to be our basic rule of thumb.

New Ice and Snow Service:

Additional new services include the partial clearing of melting ice and snow.  Note: Metal shovels and ice-melt chemicals will damage the court surfaces and cannot be used under any circumstances.  The courts must melt naturally to protect their surfaces.  Court maintenance team will try to “assist” the melting process and clear melting ice that may remain along fence lines so long as the remaining court surface has cleared and has dried naturally.
