Letter from the President of Chandlers Landing Tennis Board, Dana Johnson

Dear CLT Members,

The CLT Board wishes all our members a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season. What a year we have had at Chandler’s Landing Tennis in 2025! From the completion of work on the renovations for Courts 6/7 to the new and innovative tournaments that our head pro, Brad, has introduced to the club, CLT has strived to improve our facilities and member-experience this year. We now have 9 solid courts available for members and league play, with 30 teams from TCD, Metro, and USTA playing out of our club in 2025. We look forward to continuing improvements in the coming year.

While our move forward is exciting, we want to take a moment to acknowledge an end of an era with the retirement of Sandy and Lane Graves. CLT has a history of being a volunteer-led organization. It is how we have kept our membership dues as low as possible and created such a family atmosphere. Sandy and Lane have been our two mega-volunteers for the last fifteen years. Sandy has been the first person most people talk to about CLT and the person we all reach out to for advice. She knows how the club operates and helps with EVERYTHING! Her leadership on leagues, club operations, hospitality, and environment – there is nothing in CLT that has not been touched and made better by her. Lane has been our incredible Mr. Fix It for years. When something breaks, he finds a way to get it up and running. He is our first volunteer to put up nets, windscreens, varnish and fix our benches, cookout for mixers…the sheer number of everything he does is just too long to list.

Chandler’s Landing Tennis is a better place because of Sandy and Lane. They are beloved members and will always have a home with us. We, on the board, are working on building new processes to cover all that they have done for CLT but ask your patience as we venture into a new era for the club and as we introduce some changes and new opportunities for our members.

2026 Pricing Increases

As we have messaged over the past year, everything connected to maintaining the club, court surfaces, windscreens, nets, balls, etc. costs more today than it did before Covid – a lot more. As we looked at our updated 5-year operating plan, we determined that the current funding was not going to cover the increases in cost. We have offset as much as possible with volunteers, but the following membership price increases will take effect January 1, 2026 – our first membership price increase in dues in eight years. Please note, we have created an additional incentive for our members that convert to (or continue) an annual membership to help offset some of the membership dues increase. Non-members who utilize our facilities will see the biggest increase.

Membership and Member Fees

  • Single Membership – $75/mo, $825/yr (annual membership includes one free month)
  • Family Membership – $100/mo, $1100/yr (annual membership includes one free month)
  • Junior Membership – $35/mo
  • Tournament price increases – to be announced by tournament (There will be more and varied types of tournaments in 2026)

Annual Membership Incentives

  • One additional free month of membership dues if member switches from monthly to annually paid membership
    • Incentive is available thru April 30, 2026
    • Incentive will be applied as an account credit when annual membership started
    • Available to all memberships, in good standing, as of December 31, 2025
  • One additional free month of membership dues if member renews an annual membership in 2026
    • Incentive is available thru 2026
    • Incentive will be applied as an account credit when the annual membership started
    • Available to all memberships, in good standing, as of December 31, 2025

Non-Member Price Increases

  • Non-member price will be $15 more than member price for lessons, drills, clinics, mixers, tournaments, social events, court fees
  • Non-member price for leagues will increase to $60
  • Non-member price for TCD/Metro/USTA teams will increase to $40

Brad Lessons Price Increases

  • Brad’s lesson prices will increase to $80/hr for members, $95/hr for non-members

New Refund Policy

Refunds will now be applied as an Account Credit to the players CourtReserve account instead of returned to their credit card. This will result in faster turnaround time for receiving the refund and save processing time/fees from CourtReserve, the payment processor, and the credit card company. Payments made using eCheck will continue to be refunded to the players bank account.

Volunteer Opportunities

We have big plans for the club in 2026 including:
